At Jobie, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal information. If you would like to delete your personal data from our platform, we have established a straightforward process for submitting a data deletion request.

How to Request Data Deletion

If you wish to request the deletion of your personal data stored with Jobie, please follow these steps:

  1. Send a Request Email:
    Send an email to privacy@jobie.ca with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
  2. Provide Your Account Details:
    In your email, please include the following details to help us identify your account and process your request efficiently:
    • Full name
    • Email address associated with your Jobie account
    • Any other information relevant to your account (e.g., user ID, phone number)
  3. Confirmation:
    Upon receiving your request, Jobie will verify your identity and the information provided. If necessary, we may request additional details to confirm your identity.
  4. Processing Time:
    We will process your request as quickly as possible, typically within 30 days from the receipt of your request. Please note that in some cases, depending on the nature of your request and applicable legal obligations, the process may take longer.

What Happens After Data Deletion?

Once your data deletion request is successfully processed:

  • All personal information associated with your account, including your profile, transaction history, and communications, will be permanently deleted from our system.
  • You will no longer have access to any Jobie-related services linked to your account.
  • If you choose to create a new account in the future, it will be treated as a new registration, and no previous data will be accessible.

Exceptions to Data Deletion

While we are committed to deleting your data upon request, there are certain circumstances in which data may not be fully deleted, including:

  • Legal Compliance: If your data is required to be retained for legal, regulatory, or contractual purposes (e.g., for accounting or tax reporting), we may retain certain data for the required retention period.
  • Pending Transactions: If you have any pending transactions or unresolved disputes, we may need to retain necessary data until the issue is resolved.

Data Retention Policy

Jobie may retain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as ensuring the integrity and security of our platform. For example, transactional data related to completed services may be retained for the purposes of accounting and dispute resolution.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request the deletion of your data at any time.
  • Receive confirmation that your request has been processed.
